Accusation: There is no evidence that Victor helped anyone.
In February 2019, Nora (Not her real name) fled the man who held her as a sex slave for 8 years. He poured acid on her face, chopped off her hand and left her for dead.

Nora tells Chuck Holton about her attempted murder, where it happened.
Grabbed off the street and held as a sex slave for eight long years. That's the story we're going to hear today from Nora, a remarkable young lady that I met in Phnom Penh last week. This is a story of a girl who grew up in a small village and was kidnapped by one of the leading men of the village.
This is a guy everybody knew. She was walking down the street when she was 14 years old, and he just stopped in his SUV, grabbed her and threw her in the back, took her home, and held her as a sex slave for eight years until she finally said she'd had enough. When she was 22 years old, she told the man she wasn't going to obey him anymore, and that's when he tried to kill her.
He didn't talk to you. Yeah. He, he, he pulled you off the motorcycle.
Yeah. Uh-huh. Yeah.
Yeah. By your belt. Oh, by your hair.
Yeah. He put acid on you first. Yeah.
On, on your face. Yeah. And then, uh, my eye.
Uh-huh. Hot. Oh yeah.
Hot. Yeah. Burned your eyes.
Oh, okay. He, uh. He grabbed your hair.
Yeah. And. And pulled.
Cut. Cut. Yeah.
And. Oh, he cut your hand. Yeah.
Yeah. He said, no, you die. I, I go away.
I go. Yeah. Yeah.
He's, he could, he put his foot on it. He kicked you. Yeah.
I. He fell on the ground. He put his foot on your, on your arm. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. Right here.
Yeah. Oh, wow. You have a scar from that.
I go. So I acted like I was dead. Oh, so you pretended to be dead then? Yeah.
He go. And he left. Yeah.
Okay. Then I, I did it. I thought I was going to die.

Nora shares her story with Holly D. and Victor for All Things Possible
Nora's story is a sad story, but it's also a story of hope. She was born into poverty, one of five children. Her parents actually died.
She was abused when she was small. It was just a tough life for her. And finally, this one guy who had been stalking her for years, he figured out a way to meet with her.
And he tried to kill her. He poured battery acid on her face, tried to melt her face off. He tried to chop her head off, but she blocked it.
He got her one hand and then because she blocked it, he cut her other hand off and he thought she was dead. He left her for dead. But she didn't die.

When she was on the ground, just after the attack, playing dead, what was she feeling? What made her get up and press forward and not give up and die right there? When Holly told me about Nora's situation, I mean, really the first emotion I had was anger. Because what happened to her was evil, and I know that makes God angry too. I immediately prayed and sent out a message to our ATP community, we've got to get prayer going.
We've got to raise money for this specialized need that wasn't part of our budget. We've got to get protection through security for her and legal counsel to pursue the justice aspect. And through the body of Christ coming together, meeting these needs, we really were able to show her God's love and how He was able to redeem this horrible tragedy.
You know what? Nora has seen Jesus, and the love of Jesus has opened her eyes. You know, a few months after Nora came to live in our restoration center, it was interesting that in one of our studies, the girl's studies at the home, she said that before all this happened, she actually felt like a slave, that she was dead inside, and she had no life. We're talking, this is all before this super horrific evil stuff happened.
Victor's team worked with local law enforcement to capture her attacker and bring justice to Nora.

Then we got her to an incredible hospital, three life-saving surgeries and then the guy when he found out, he's a wealthy businessman in that area, when he found out that she lived, he actually sent three people to kill her and our team lead there just, she was like, hey something doesn't feel right, can we move her? Even in this beautiful hospital, we moved her to a different floor and put guns on her and these guys were not able to get to her to kill her. So that's how intense this has been. It's been a long, drawn out legal deal to get an arrest warrant for them and to fight corruption and then find out who the good people are there in Cambodia and it's pretty amazing.

In September 2020, Victor and Eileen reported on the arrest of Nora's attacker.
Hey, Victor and Eileen Marks here and we want to thank you for your prayers and support of really the miracle capture of Nora's a horrible pedophile monster that we've been after for over a year and many of you have seen the video of this capture. Many of you have followed and been prayerfully and loving Nora through the attack. Those of you who don't know, Nora is an orphan in Cambodia where we have a safe house and she was attacked, beaten, stabbed, raped, battery acid poured on her, attempted murder and the guy actually cut her hand off and we had to do an extraction to get her out of a village place where she would have died.

So really just, I mean we just finally, after putting together a specialized team using our Cambodian team and mixed with our American, it's a blessing and I don't know if I told you but when Nora saw the video, she literally cried for like 10 minutes. Holly said she just, she just held herself because it was such a relief, her attacker, her abuser, this monster who was threatening to kill her for over a year in a rehab, now he's done.
Through the help of All Things Possible, Nora received a prosthetic arm.

Nora continues to live and help at ATP House of Refuge in Cambodia.
